Mandy is currently the President of the Human Resources and Leadership Development consulting firm that she founded in 2016, Optimizing You. Her main focus is to help individuals, managers and executives in businesses to optimize their own performance, which enhances the overall ability for the company to deliver amazing results. She founded this company after leaving the corporate HR world with over 15 years of experience in some of the world’s most cutting-edge companies for HR thought-leadership. Her goal is to take what she learned and the best practices she witnessed and created, and spread that across a broad array of companies and industries.
After graduating from Purdue University’s, MSHRM (MBA) program in 2001, Mandy joined General Electric Co. in their Plastics division as a member of their HR Leadership Program. She spent the next several years in various HR generalist and specialist positions in both their corporate and manufacturing environments. She joined Pepsi Bottling Group in 2007, transitioning to a field HR leadership role supporting both the sales and manufacturing organizations. She continued to grow into larger roles at PepsiCo, ultimately leading the California region for Pepsi Beverages Company, a division of the company generating over $1.6B in revenue. Mandy also spent just over a year at Cargill leading the talent acquisition and recruiting teams for the company’s meat division.
Her last role, before venturing out on an entrepreneurial path, was as the Vice President of Human Resources for CoreLogic’s Corporate Shared Services teams. She supported the company’s Legal, Information Security, Compliance, Government Affairs, Innovation and Research & Insights groups as their HR Business Partner, serving at the C-Suite level in this organization. She also served as the HRBP for the HR team, a role in which she provided clarity and insight in a major transformation of the HR function and team structure.
Mandy is an avid believer in the role HR can play as both a true strategic business partner as well as an employee advocate. She has transformed many groups into high-performance teams by creating environments that are empowering to leadership and engaging to employees.
Outside of work, Mandy is a proud mother of two beautiful young girls, and along with her husband, Mike, they own a real estate investment company that has proven to be hugely successful since its inception. Mandy also volunteers her time weekly to help in her daughters’ classrooms, is a co-leader of their Girl Scout troop, and plays a critical role in her daughters’ elementary school PTO, chairing a large fundraising event to raise money for art in the classroom.
